Hi Andrew

 

I am trying to work through this myself but not being that technical I am finding it difficult.

 

I am trying to check the SQL server permissions using the Act! diagnostics tool but don't know which folder the SQL server is in.

 

Can you help with this?

Thanks Graham, it was good to talk to you and get the issue resolved.

Turns out it was Windows UAC interfering with the reinstall.

Let us know if you have any other issues.

This has now been resolved but I would like to thank everyone for their help. 

 

It would have taken me a lifetime to sort it out on my own but Peter Langston did a great job! Thorough, polite and professional, and now I have access to my data again.
