Re: Act Pro 2012 fails in database upgrade

Jguykema,

On a side note - what browser (and version/build of it) are you using?

So we can test and try to determine why there is no attachment option presented.

That doesn't look like the entire log file.

Re: Act Pro 2012 fails in database upgrade

Issue: Changed database context to 'XXXX'.

*********** Schema Update failed **************

*********** Exception message follows *********

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Incorrect syntax near '100'.

Setting Database Compatibility Level...

   at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Common.ConnectionManager.ExecuteTSql(ExecuteTSqlAction action, Object execObject, DataSet fillDataSet, Boolean catchException)

   at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Common.ServerConnection.ExecuteNonQuery(String sqlCommand, ExecutionTypes executionType)

 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I had the same error, found SQL 2005 was shown in the actdiag for 2012, I did see in the configuration manager had the act7 instance running as well as the browser.  in the end I had to pull 2005 and 2008, reinstall 2008 then reattach back to ACT using SecurityCmdLnApp.exe.

Re: Act Pro 2012 fails in database upgrade

I determined that the same thing was wrong with mine. Win 7 Home premium had set up my adminstrator user as multiple and Act installation only allows one primary administrator to change setting in Act7.I needed to make a new user as Administrator, remove net 2005 and net2008, re install 2008 and attach to act database. It was frustrating enough to have to call support and let a nice chap from South India do a remote go at it as I ate lunch and watched cursor pong.
