Act! Pro 2011 and Office Home and Student 2010

Are ACT! Pro 2011 and "MS Office Home and Student" not compatible?  I can't seem to create any letter templates in ACT! .

As far as I know, the version of Word in the Student package is not different, just licensed differently.

Can you offer more input on what exactly "can't create any templates" means?

Have you set up Word as the Word Processor in ACT!'s preferences?

Yes, "Microsoft Word 2003, 2007 or 2010" is set as the word processor.  The letter templates created under the earlier version of ACT! are accessible and are designated as .adt files.  Now, with the ACT! Pro 2010 and Office Home and Student 2010, any template I create is saved in Word in the "ACT>database>Templates" file.  But, I cannot access the template through ACT! ie., Write>Edit document ot Write>Other document (from template).
