Act.Outlook.Service (Event ID error 0)

[ Edited ]

Hello:

I receive the following Event ID 0 error in the Application log:

An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for QueueProviders: Could not load file or assembly 'Act.Outlook.Service.AppCommon, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=ebf6b2ff4d0a08aa' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) (C:\Program Files\ACT\ACT for Windows\Act.Outlook.Service.exe.config line 4)

Can this error message be disregarded or is there a fix to correct it?  The server is running ACT! 2007/9.0x557.  Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

Re: Act.Outlook.Service (Event ID error 0)

First, I try updating to 9.0.1 and Hotfix 3 - on the server AND all systems with ACT!

You can download the current patch from http://www.act.com/support/updates/index.cfm

Then the Hotfix from http://tinyurl.com/5ykmxk

If that doesn't help, what version of Outlook?

Not yet, awaiting permission from the client.  Is there any known issues w/ Outlook 2003?

What issue is corrected by applying the latest patch and hotfix for Act! 9?  Does the error message indicate a malformed e-mail?
