It hasn't crashed since but will monitor for a few days to make sure.

I should add that I am now using Office 365 (64 bit) with updates on, and Act! 19.2
I had been using it previously with Office updates off, but it appears that the problem with updates to Act! has been resolved by Microsoft. Perhaps those who have been using the partial fix should revisit the situation. Conflicts are not now occurring and content attribution of Microsoft related activities are now linking to Act! as they had in past editions.
The installation process that I followed is as follows;
1. Install Office 365 in a 64 bit version.
2. Restart system
3. Install Act! 19.2
4. Restart system
5. review add-ins in Office and turn on the Act! add-in
Best regards,
Michael

Thanks Jon
Will try that (just crashed again BTW).
See below, there are a lot of text files Act!Integration0,1,2,3 etc.
Many seem incomplete e.g. start mid-sentence.
Should I delete these?

Hi Jon
sadly setting the Act.Integration.exe service to run "as admin" didn't fix it - just crashed again
