I've been using Act 2K, basically, since it was released. I had it installed on an XP, SP3 machine who's OS lunched on me. I reinstalled XP and updated it. And installed a copy of Act 2011 that I had been using on an laptop I decommissioned. But I can't import or convert the Act 2K DB, which I had backed up on an external drive.
I can't export the older DB to CSV without reinstalling Act 2K, which I suspect will not be happy on the machine which now has the newer Act version installed.
How can I achieve this conversion?

ACT! 2000 can be installed at the same time as ACT! 2011. So, you can then run compress/reindex and scan and repair on your old db before you convert it to ACT! 2011.

Hi,
Check the integrity of the data first and then do the conversion:

Common rule is that if you have problems with conversion from 2000, install a demo of 2003 (v6) and use this as an intrim. Meaning you go '2000 -> 2003 -> 2011'.
Kind regards,

I got it to work, thanks.
Problem was tryinjg to use the "restore" funtion with the Zip file, like the old way.
Conversion worked once I tried it with the dbf file.
