If I remember well those database files have extensions PDF / ADF. How to move  / connect their content as database which is running under Microsoft SQL server and how to tell Sage Act! Pro how to use it.

If you have the ADF and ALF, then, in Act!, File | Open ...
The Database is not listed
Change File Type to ADF

The test scenario is not:

How to open one and the same adf file from two computer in LAN.

The test scenario is:

How to change default type to share data from using adf file to migrate demo database from adf file to fulll version of Microsoft SQL Server and connect those two clients to this server.

The ADF file *is* a SQL file ... it's attached by opening it ... then it's shared from Act! on the server and other systems open the PAD file
