Act 2011 transfering database to new computer

Hello,

I bought a new computer re-installed Act! Pro 2011 

However I cannot figure out how to transfer my database from old laptop to new one

 

I already tried to use back up Didn't work

 

Help! Thanks

Backup is the easiest (and best) way to move the database. what happened when you tried that?

It puts it in a Zip File with 10 sub files with the last one beeing Database File with another 6 subfiles

including Backup inside is 3 files with Act Database file type .bak

Nothig happen when I try to open them

And won't. It is a special backup file stored in ZIP format. You need to do a Restore As of the backup file in ACT! on the new computer.

How do you do a restore on Window 8

In ACT! go to File | Restore | Database.

OK Actually I was able to do a simple save as on a USB key and download it to my new computer
