When I try to back up databse its giving me below error :

The following error occurred during backup. The backup was cancelled.
'\\server name...\folder name...\backup\\filename.BAK'.
operating system error 5 (error not found).
BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
PRC_MAINT_BACKUPDB: ERROR EXECUTING DATABASE BACKUP STATEMENT

Hi,
Are you trying to backup the database to a local drive or a network drive?
If it is a network drive, then please drive with a local drive.
Please let us know more information in case of any failures so we can assist you more.

Hi database is on the server and we tried to back it up on the server and and also on the local drive. But still the same issue.

I will take a wild guess for you
Act 2010 v12 can not back up database
Do you have the most recent version of ACT2010?
What is you exact version? reference help about..

Are you syncing something while attempting to do backup?
Is your database Shared?

I would try closing act
start/run/actdiag
list databases
select desired db
rite click the button to left of db name
run the db rebuild options(4) no need to reset accting links
Still have problem?
using ACTDIAG, delete ACT Preferences
