Act 2010 on Windows 7 shuts down randomly when performing a lookup or scheduling

Act opens fine. Then it will shut down on its own. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but that did not resolve the issue.

Any plugins or addons that you are using?

nothing,. just straight ot of the box. This is on a network install. 3 workstations, 2 Windows 7 pro and 1 xp The two win 7 's are almost identical. No issues on the other win 7 or the XP box

Do you know how to check your event viewer log?  I bet there is some useful info there on why it's failing.

This is the error message in the event viewer. It does seem to happen mostly during a name lookup or scheduke a meeting. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Service cannot be started. System.Exception: Unable to start scheduler service. ScheduledItems count is less than or equal to 0.
   at Act.Scheduler.SchedulerService.OnStart(String[] args)
   at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase.ServiceQueuedMainCallback(Object state)
