Act 2010 Remote DB Filesize Question

In creating a new remote DB for a user here recently, I saw where the file generated was almost 3GB.  If I open actdiag and look at my DB, it's around 750 MB.  Why the huge discrepancy in the sizes?  Even when I generated a RDB with no attachments it was 3GB.

Anyone seen this before?

Hello Bakey,

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Online Community!

I would look at each of the Supplemental folders within your database.  They are not included in the size of the database in ACTDiag (only ADF file).  Supplemental folders are the '*databasename*-database files' folder.  You may find some backup files or other large files causing your size question.

No ideas at all?  I may end up calling tech support.

Re: Act 2010 Remote DB Filesize Question

This was the problem. There were several .BAK files that were in that folder. Deleting them corrected my problem.
