Act 2010 Missing Contacts Toolbar

I have been able to get the contacts toolbar back but why does it go missing is the question.  The next question is how to stop it?

Re: Act 2010 Missing Contacts Toolbar

Can you provide some additional information:

- What is the operating system of your computer?

- What is the DPI setting of your monitor?

- Were you able to resolve it previously by using the Tools > Customize > Reset Menus and Toolbars, or by deleting your Act! Preference files?

Re: Act 2010 Missing Contacts Toolbar

The OS is Microsoft Vista Home Premium.  4 gigs of memory.  display at 1280x800.  I can get the toolbar back by the reset.  Sometimes is stays a while and sometimes not.  I had hoped to get some common link for when it goes away but so far I have been unable to do so.  I never tried to delete the preference file.

Re: Act 2010 Missing Contacts Toolbar

Thank you for the information about your system.  Can you check the DPI setting also?  On Vista, this can be done by: right click on Desktop screen > select Personalize > in the left hand column, select Adjust Font Size (DPI).

Act! is designed to work with 96dpi, if you have increased this setting - that could be the cause of the missing contacts toolbar.

The dpi is set to 96 the default.
