When I click the ACT! icon, this is the message I constantly receive:
"ACT! by Sage has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
My only choice is to click the CLOSE button.
This is very frustrating.

I would be happy to help you come up with a resolution to your problem, but there are many things that can cause behavior in programs like that. Can I get a little more information?
What version of Windows are you in?
What version of Act! are you in?
Has this worked on this computer previously?
Most of the time this can be fixed by rebuilding your Act! preferences. Follow this KB article to rebuild those: http://kb.sagesoftwareonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/14770/kw/rebuild%20preferences.
Once I have those answers and you try to reset the preferences I will try to assist you further.
