Act! 2009 upgrade/ compatability issue with Windows 7

Recently acquired a new computer with Windows 7 32-bit.  Loaded Act! 2009, then tried to run Update.  Although I have Administrative rights on the computer, I get the following message "You do not have permission to download the updates.  You must be a Windows Administrator."   How can I resolve this problem?

Hello 7165,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. This message is due to User Account Control in Windows 7. To bypass this, close ACT!, then re-open it by right-clicking on the desktop icon and selecting "Run As Administrator".

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
