Act 2009 not syncing correctly and other issue

I have a client that has act 2009 a palm pre plus phone..  They have categorized their contacts in ACT by profession but that does not seem to carry over to the phone.  Should it?

 

Also all of a sudden they system does not seem to sync from the phone to ACT and I know this had worked previously because I set it up and tested it.  What should I look at.

Some questions:

- What program are you using to sync the Palm and the database?

- Are you getting any error messages?

 

Options:

Note - these will require the data on the phone to be overwritten.  Any changes on the phone would be lost unless backed up to the Palm Desktop software first.

- Perform Desktop overwrites Handheld sync.

- Try sync with different database (ex: Act Demo or create a new db).
