There are times when I am not able to login to our database due to a problem on the Log on screen.
Once Act! starts, the Log on screen opens OK.
However, after about one second, a thick dark-blue box appears around the outside of the OK button and the button does not work, so I am not able to login to Act! at all.
I can enter the user name and password OK, but the OK button does nothing, except change to a slightly different grey colout when I click it.
The problem usually clears if I reboot the PC, but today this did not work.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
The Act! software is up to date and I have the latest service pack and updates for Windows XP Pro. I'm running Norton Internet Security 2009, if this is relevant.

Please see the information in KB Article 24062 regarding adding exceptions for ACT! and SQL in Norton Internet Security.
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
