Act 2008 email

I have Act 2008 which was working fine, then the email just stopped working and I got an error message that I traced to the help part of Act online. It gave me 3 fixes for the problem. One a hot fix, another changing from Outlook Express to Outlook. At any rate none worked. I use XP Pro updated with both service paks. A gig of ram. The Act part works, just the email went away. Any suggestions?

Re: Act 2008 email

Error: "Act.Ui.EmailConectionINitilizeException Error The email program is not available --> system. Runtime.InteropServices.ComException. Retrieving the COM class factory for components with CLSID failed due to the following:"

Version 2008

Thanks for responding. I was able to correct the error. I had not uninstalled my ACT6.0 and the 10.0 and 6.0 got into a fight. So I uninstalled both of them rebooted and then reinstalled the 10 plus the hotfix and it works fine now.

Re: Act 2008 email

Yes, you can have both versions installed... but only one can connect to Outlook

Sometimes a Detect and Repair in Outlook can fix that also
