Act 2008 best way for remote users to access dbase

We are in the process of deploying a new V2008 ACT database.  Although the database will be empty, we have created

custom fields, layouts and groups that will need to be included for all users.     We are currently using ACT2000 which is

based on a server.  Workstations in the same location as the server have a copy of ACT2000 and only the main field layout.

Whenever the workstation is accessed it opens the ACT2000 dbf file  on the server.   Add to this- The workstations can be accessed via remote desktop.  While this process works- it is fairly limiting in that each workstations become tied up ie. remote

user cannot access if someone is  on workstation.   Any advice would be helpful- Thank You

This is a windows product that turns a PC in to a rudamentary Terminal Server. You need to ensure your PC has enough resources.
Note: ACT! 2000 was not supported on a Temrinal Server.
