Act 2007 and Act 2009

I'm about to start updating our ACT 2007 database to 2009 but have a few concerns and questions as I have a few clients to upgrade in the process.

If I do the server first will the 2007 clients still be able to use the database or should I upgrade/update the server last?

Some of the computers are new fresh 2009 installs can they open the 2007 database without issue to the old 2007 clients or the database itself?

Re: Act 2007 and Act 2009

When updating from on version of ACT! to another:

- Update the server install first, then open the database on the server and convert it up to new version

- All client workstations must then be upgraded to the same version and build as the server in order to access the database on the server

Once a database is converted up, it cannot be converted down nor can it be accessed by an earlier version of the program.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
