Hello, all. We are in the process of re-architecting our servers and we thought to put our Act DB on our one and only application server that is running Sql Server 2000. However, when I spoke to our Act contact (in London) we were advised to install the Sql Server Express that came with our version of Act on that same box. He was confident that running 2 different instances of Sql Server on the same box will have no problems.
Does anyone have any experience with this? used to be an Oracle DBA and this would be a no-no with Oracle, but would this work for Sql Server??
Any help would be appreciated.

SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 can coexist on the same machine.
"Multiple SQL Server 2005 Express installations can coexist on the same machine along with other installations of SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, or Microsoft Desktop Engine (MSDE)."
