Act 2005 on PC and on laptop, how do I synchronise both

I mainly work on PC (OS Vista) and like to use my laptop (OS Windows 7) as a back up. Act 2005 is installed, how do I update my laptop, at present I have outdated copy running on my laptop, I need to update my contact details mainly. Laptop is wireless - not connected to pc.

kind regards

ACT! 2005 ???
I wouldn't try running that version on Vista or Windows 7 and expect it to remain reliable.

If it's a more current version, then have a look at:

Thank you - but  Well, I intend to keep running it, there must be a way to update the contacts other then synching as per your suggestion. It is ACT 2005 for Windows version 7.

ACT! 2005 used SQL 2000, which Microsoft won't support on Vista or Windows 7 because of the problems.

If you want to have the data on two systems, then setting up sync is the only way ... unless you have a web server

You're in New Zealand?

You might try:

http://www.actshop.com.au/Products.php?cat=ACT12STD

It would also include a free upgrade to ACT! 2011 (due in the next month or two)
