Our Customer screens will randomly refresh, bouncing us out of whatever we may have been updating, or reading at the time. Occasionally they refresh over and over for a few minutes. Any suggestions on how to fix this? It has caused notes to be entered into incorrect client accounts as well as entries to not be saved. Advice??

We have it as an option, but do not actively use it. Could it be a setting in that functions that is causing the screens to refresh continuously? If we are not using it, what should the customized settings be? Thank you for your help!

This particular issue may be related to your other issue, We'd really have to see this issue first hand to understand what's going on here. It would be best to speak to one of our technicians to take a closer look. You can call us on 866 873 2006.

Thank you, I have called and was told we do not have the 'service' plan needed for technical help and that my only option was to ask questions online for assistance.

It's likely going to be difficult to pin down the issue over the forum, that's why I recommended giving us a call. A service plan would be useful for you in this case and would allow a technician to help you directly and see what's actually happening for themselves.
Troubleshooting this further:
Does it happen on all your machines with Act installed?
Does it happen on a different database?
Is the 'refresh' exactly the same behaviour as when pressing F5 in a contact (or other) view?

Can we purchase a service plan? If so, how much is it and what's covered?
It does happen to all our computers that use ACT database. It is exactly like pressing the F5 key, over and over. Does not happen in outlook or other programs, just Act.

I've seen similar behavior with certain antiviruses. Try disabling the antivirus on the server and workstation and check to see if you continue to get the screen refresh issue. If the problem goes away, add the appropriate exceptions to your AV.
