Thank you for the option of disabling the Antivirus, we tried that and it still continued to refresh. So weird... Thank you.
This type of issue occurred in an older version of Act, where it would continue to touch base with the server, however with the newer versions, it is not to be doing this and suddenly it is.

Does the refresh issue occur on the demo database as well? Please log in and test.
To me, it feels like there's some 3rd party software interfering with Act and causing this. Do you have any automation or macro software installed that could be causing this?
