Act 10 Synchronizing taking forever

I have a relatively small database (less than 500 contacts)and I'm fairly light user as far as how much data I save on my contacts
This is the third time I have synced my desktop with my laptop. Previous syncs seemed to work fine. This sync has taken nearly 10 hours so far and it is still not finished. Its been 56 days since I have last synced. And all day long I keep getting messages that I'd better sync because the time will expire.(and then when I click OK to synce I get the message that this operation can't be done because a sync is in process!?! I think I'm going to expire before the sync is finished. I can't figure a way to stop the sync process and re-do.Any suggestions.The whole sync set up was done when I first got the new software and computer by an online service rep from ACT and it has worked fine in the past.

Try the two suggestions from this ACT! Knowledge Base article -
Don't leave it so long to sync next time :-)
