ADT with image - Could not open the item. Try again.

I'm usin ACT 16, when the template created as .adt file contains an image, it is impossible to merge, I get the message " Could not open the item.try again". 

How can I solve that?

What version of Microsoft Outlook are you using?
What version of Windows are you using?

Does this error always occur when sending any template with images?
If not, what Image size is the contained image? Try reducing the size.

Outlook version is 10.

Windows 7

Yes, any size of image included in adt file create the error message, i've tried with images as small as 25ko.

Any other idea/solution?

Just to confirm, do the templates which do not have any images in them merge correctly without any errors?

Does the issue occur for any other Windows users on the same machine?
Does the issue occur on another Outlook profile on the same machine? You can create a local profile to test.

If the issue still persists after these checks, then i would suggest reinstalling Act, or both Act and Office.

Templates without images merges perfectly.

There is only 1 user for windows and outlook, and the issue occurs in act before transfert to outlook.

I don't know what is a local user.

I believe the error "Could not open the item. Try again." is an error message that occurs in Outlook.
Could you take a screenshot of the error message?
At what point exactly does the error occur? What steps do you take before the error?

The problem occurs just after having started merging.

Try running ACT and Outlook as administrator.

 

Right click on ACT and Outlook icon and select Run as Administrator.
