1: View your Control Panel / Programs Features
and see if you have anyting that looks like SQL as being installed.

Other useful Command:  Run services.msc

see if you have anthing listed starting with SQL  server(act7)  somthig like that.

At times, that service will fail to start when pc is booted? So you need to manually start it.

Please confirm you meet system requirements(sounds like you probly do?)

Re: ACTPro 2013 install errors

Thanks.  I finally got it set up by doing a complete reinstall of Windows 7 Pro.  Several things were no working correctly such as wireless print and the trackpad, so I just decided to start over from scratch and get things set up again.

Re: ACTPro 2013 install errors

Generally you will get that error message when SQL fails to install properly.  There can be several reasons for this.  To get the specific error message that relates to the SQL install you need to do a manual install of the SQL and go from there.

However, it seems as though quite a few things were not functioning right on your PC.

Good to hear its up and running.
