ACT8.exe Common Language Runtime Debugging Services

After installation of ACT 2006 Premium for Workgrous, when we launch the application (ACT 2006) we get the following error.
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled
Process id=0x128 (296), Thread id=0xe44 (3652)
Click OK to terminate the application
Click CANCEL to debug the application
Step Performed: Uninstallation and Reinstallation of ACT 2006, Uninstallation and Reinstallation of Dot Net Framework 2.0 with Service Pack 1
Results: The error still appears when we launch ACT 2006.

Remove .net 2.0 then .net 1.1, restart the machine
Reinstall .net 1.1 alone
Try this.
If this fails follow this online kb to remove act 2006, download act 2006 and install act

Re: ACT8.exe Common Language Runtime Debugging Services

ACT! 2006 (8.0.0) actually had problems if .Net 2.0 was installed as per this ACT! knowledge Base article - http://tinyurl.com/23zq59

If you have applications that need .Net 2.0, you need to download and apply the patch for ACT! 8.02 before installing it.

You can download the current patch from http://www.act.com/support/updates/index.cfm

Unless you have an application that needs, there is no need to install it
