This is not so much an ACT! issue as it is apparently in how the PC handles sleep...
I have had PCs that sleep anything open without an issue - all variations of ACT! included, and I have had others that using sleep caused problems not limited just to ACT!.
In the cases where sleep does not work dependably, I would use hibernate typically w/o issue...

Ahaaa! Makes sense, explains why it didn't always happen, had screen sleep at 30mins, HDD sleep at 60mins. Interesting don't seem to have the 'never sleep' option for the HDD, have set it to 300mins. Thanks.

So it would appear. Still getting used to Windows 7. Had no sleep issues with Act9 on XP on a laptop with Intel Centrino, but laptops typically had better sorted power save plans I think. Thanks for your response.
