ACT11.DOT error message

When I send an email through ACT! and Outlook I receive an error message - (Window title - Microsoft Office Word) "Do you want to sve the changes to ACT 11.DOT?"

I can choose Yes or No and nothing happens and it doesn't effect anything. What is causing this?

Within Word, I went to Tools > Templates and Add-ins and Act11.dot is not in the list.

Re: ACT11.DOT error message

OK. I remaned it to ACT11.old.  Let's see what happens. In a day or two I'll mark this as a Solution.

Re: ACT11.DOT error message

Try renaming ACT11.dot from '%appdata%\act\act for windows 11'.  Close ACT! and Office applications before renaming.

Re: ACT11.DOT error message

You are saying - find the ACT11.DOT template and changing the name of it to

%appdata%\act\act for windows 11    ?

Re: ACT11.DOT error message

Yes, rename ACT11.dot.

- Close ACT! and Office applications.

- Go to Start > Run.  Type in %appdata% and click Ok.

- Browse down to ACT\ACT for Windows 11.

- Rename ACT11.dot to ACT11.old (or whatever you want).

Re: ACT11.DOT error message

I had this same issue and renamed the file which seemed to correct the problem, but then the message came back 2 days later.  Any suggestions?

Re: ACT11.DOT error message

I still have this issue. It's intermittent. Regardless is I click on "Yes" or "No" it will come back in a day or two. I've tried renaming the .dot file and it comes back again. Many users I've talked to have this same issue. It must be a bug between Outlook, ACT! and Word.
