ACT won't open

ACT won't open

When I click on ACT, it hangs on the welcome screen and does not open. This is before it prompts me for the database. It has never happened before and the only thing I can think of is I updated Windows yesterday.  In the Task manager, it peaks at about 30mb of RAM and stays there. Any ideas?

update - ending the process in tasg mgr did not work and finally selected End Process Tree in task mgr and that seemed to work
