I am hoping someone can help me!
I am using ACT v 20 with windows 7. I have installed ACT many times and it will work for 2 weeks tops and then I go to use the program by clicking on the icon and an error message states " The item "Act!.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut?
The only thing I can do it delete the shortcut and then reinstall the ACT program
I reinstalled my ACT v 20 on March 21, 2018. Yesterday-4/2/2018- I had windows updates and came in to work today 4/3/2018 and my ACT shortcut had the error. I reinstalled this morning and when I came back from lunch, the error message was back. The norm for me is the ACT reinstall will last 1+ weeks but today it did not.
I have researched the forum but have not found anyone else with a similar issue.
Any help is MOST APPRECIATED!!
This is super frustrating since I work with 40+ databases per week.
Thanks in advance!

Good Morning!
I checked my computer and my exe file is missing from the ACT program files.
I have attached a screen shot of my file folder.
Your help is appreciated. I lose this program every 5 days and sometimes sooner.

Check the log files of your antivirus software. Maybe it removes the act!.exe after each AV scanner update due to a false positive...
If you find it listed as a threat there, add it to the whitelist of your AV software.

I am using AVAST virus protection. I have added the path to the exclusions-is this the same as the whitelist?
I am not sure how to gain access to the scan logs.
Thanks for your help!
