Log in to open database. Accepts login ID and password. A window opens with database name at top, but the screen in the window is blank.

Try using ACTdiag to delete your preferences, they could be corrupted.

Hello Quickchan...
Welcome to the ACT Community.
The first thing to try is to see if you get the same results by logging in to the demo database.

Yes, Demo has the same results. All other programs on system work as they should.

First of all I'm not an egnineer and there are many more qualified than I to help you along this path.
While you are a new member to the community, additional inforamtion would be helpful such as is this yoiur first installation of ACT, what is the hardware/OS environment, single or multi user.
Getting a blank scrren with even the demo generally means that there is a problem with the installation - but that is generally.
My advice would be to first uninstall and reboot. If you are using Office, make sure it is installed first. (I don't think that would have anything to do with the blank screen, though).
I'm hoping some of the gurus who are more bits and bytes technical than I will jump in and help you at this point.

At this point, I'm only posting so you don't think I'm ignoring you.
I think it requires a guru who understands the inner workings better than I.
Good luck, but I'll be watching just the same.

Try using ACTdiag to delete your preferences, they could be corrupted.

Thats, delete your preferences with aCT diag
you can also delete them by start, run %appdata% here you can rename the aCT folder. it will recreate upon restarting ACT. you will need to stop any act related services in task manager.
The problem is not the installation or the database
