ACT to Outlook

I searched for an answer how to export/import ACT to OL, but couldnt find what I was looking for.

We have ACT 2010 installed and Outlook 2010, we want to move everything form ACT to Outlook. What would be the easier way to move Contacts and Calendar from ACT to Outlook?

Thank you

Re: ACT to Outlook

You should be able to export all of your contact and customer details into a .csv file format that outlook can recognise.

In Act go to your contact view and there is a export to excel option. Choose the fields you want, or all of them, then export the file. Then you should be able to get them into OL by going to File > Import/Export.

Re: ACT to Outlook

I dont think there will be a way to get the calendar details out in a format that is able to be imported into OL. If you have a compatiable mobile device that can be the go between though, that might work, but i havent tested that.

Re: ACT to Outlook

Yep it does, but as it doesnt link with Outlook 2010 your out of luck. If you have an older version of Outlook that you can link with your Act database, then upgrade your Outlook, that would also work.

Outlook 2010 and Act 2010 currently Do Not communicate.

Re: ACT to Outlook

Found the solution, just in case someone is looking for way to transfer ACT items(cal/contacts) to Outlook, use Doublelook from companionlink.com, they give you a trial version for 14days, and it's fully functional, so just download, install and run synch!

Hope that helps.
