Re: ACT <> Outlook: COM class factory error 80040154

I get a message when trying to use the email function.  Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {741BEEFFD-AEC0-4AFF-84AF-4F61D15F5526} failed due to the following error: 80040154.  I have Microsoft 2010 on Windows 7 Pro Service Pack 1.  How do I fix this issue?

Re: ACT <> Outlook: COM class factory error 80040154

Have you tried the instructions provided earlier in the post:

Try registering redemption.dll

- Close ACT! and any Office programs (Word, Outlook, etc...)
- Browse to C:\Program Files\ACT\ACT for Windows
- Drag and drop Redemption.dll over regsvr32.exe

You'll receive the following message if done correctly:
DllRegisterServer in C:\program files\act\act for web\Redemption.dll succeeded.

There is no risk involved in these steps. If it does not work, it will not affect anything - but it may provide additional information for troubleshooting the issue.

Re: ACT <> Outlook: COM class factory error 80040154

I have several different folders. This is one:

C:\ACT_Pro_2012\ACTSTD\program files\ACT\ActInstallDir

this is another: C:\Windows\System32

when I attempted to use these folders, I did receive an error message.

When I tried to copy and paste then in the exact window of the instructions from the original post, I open Outlook open ACT and tried to send an e-mail and got the same error. When I completed the cut and paste of the file suggested, there was no notification of an error or a successful transfer. When I created another folder to try to duplicate the instructions originally suggested, nothing happened

Re: ACT <> Outlook: COM class factory error 80040154

The steps and folders would be exactly as listed in the steps, the only exception being if you have a 64-bit operating system, then the second step would be "Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\ACT for Windows"

From there you drag and drop the one file onto the other. This process won't work in the 'ACT_Pro_2012' or 'Windows\System32' folders.
