ACT import and duplicate checking

ACT import and duplicate checking

Our duplicate checking is based on the email field. When I import contacts with no email address which is rare, these are not imported when I choose "Do not change" if record exists. Is there anyway around it?

No ... if the Dupe check is on email ... any records with the same email (or none) with be seen as dupes

thanks - so to import the records without emails then I have to turn off duplicate check?

Ok. So that means change my duplicate checking to say first & last name & company name before the import and then reinstate duplicate checking to email after the import?
