ACT! for Palm OS 3.0 Deletes Palm Conduits

I am using ACT! for Palm OS 3.0 with ACT! 2008. I have successfully synced the desktop database to the Palm Tungsten E. Yet the ACT! installation seems to have deleted the native Calendar and Address conduits for the Palm. Is that supposed to happen, so that the ACT! calendar and address features are used instead? (On ACT! for Palm OS 1.0 I was able to keep both.)

Re: ACT! for Palm OS 3.0 Deletes Palm Conduits

I'm not a palm user thus I'm not sure, but I think it is normal. For me, this THE difference between a "ACT for Palm" and a link...

"Link" use internal contact manager and task manager and push your activities in your device. Act for palm is a complete soft that has its own contact and task manager.

If a palm user could confirm that...

Thanks for your comment. I just found out, through a long session with tech support, that ACT! for Palm OS does indeed disable (actually delete) the Palm conduits, to make way for its own. In order to get them back, you must uninstall ACT! for Palm OS, delete it from your Palm, and reinstall your Palm desktop software. Too bad.
