ACT doesn't sort as expected

I have a sorted group view and when I open the 1st record and it's 28th in the record view. How do force the record view to match the the group view?

I don't know of any way. In the group view you are seeing a list sort and not the actual records. When you go the the contact records the sort is the actual record sort. The two sorts are not linked.

Re: ACT doesn't sort as expected

So I can make a list but NOT work down through it record by record?

The contact that FIRST on my list is 28TH on my list?

So I have to keep track of where I am in the list manually and jump back and forth between screens?

Is that correct?

Not sure what you would like to do with your group, but you could just create a lookup from your group (right click in the group membership and Create Lookup). Would that be helpful?

Re: ACT doesn't sort as expected

I made a group of accounts I want to call. I clicked on a column to sort it in the order I'd like to call them but when I click on the 1st one in the GROUP view it's the 28th one in the normal record view. BOTH views have the correct accounts but the sort orders are completely different.

I'd like to call these accounts in a order so I have to MANUALLY keep track of where I am in the process as I jump back and forth between the two views.

Makes sense??
Thanks for your help.

Re: ACT doesn't sort as expected

The group list sort does not and carry over to the contact table after a create lookup from the group. However once you have the contact lookup you can easily do a column sort in the contact list view.
