We using Sage ACT 2011 and we have some issues with the database sharing option in ACT.
Everyday we need to set the "Share Database" option under Tools > Database Maintenance > Share Database.
When we select this option or users can access the database again.
How can we set this option permanent ?

This is usually an issue with some security software running nightly on the server. Check with whoever is handling your server security and tell them about the problem. They should be able to fix it pretty quickly.

No. That's what is usually causing it if it happens on a regular basis. Folders don't usually unshare themselves so something is unsharing the folder. You might want to have an IT specialist come in and take a look at it. Some ACT! Certified Consultants know a lot about IT but this might take someone with more experience. I would not recommend running your server without firewall or antivirus software. My guess is it is the antivirus software that is turning off the sharing but that is just a guess. A lot of IT companies have custom security solutions that do it.
