New computer (64bit) working on Windows 7, using ACT v14.1.
I just installed Office 2013 and cannot start emails from within ACT nor have History recorded from incoming/outgoing emails.
Am I missing something...or is ACT! v14 simply not compatible with Office 2013?
Appreciate (and I apologize in advance if this issue has been discussed recently).

ACT! must be installed after MS Office in order for the integrated functionality to work. Sounds like you need to do a quick unistall/reinstall of ACT! to solve the problem.

If by ACT! V14 your mean ACT! 2012 then no it isn't compatible with Office 2013.

Got it...ACT2012 not compatible with Office 2013.
Therefore either upgrade to the latest ACT - which I'm assuming is compatible - or downgrade to an older Office version.
