I do not see the ACT Menu option in word 2003. I am trying to edit a template and need the mail merge names to add into the template and cannot get them in there.
I went through and read the FAQ and tried all the suggestions:
Installed the microsoft update Update for Office 2003 (KB907417)
verified that the registry entries were correct
Checked if the add-in was disabled.
Checked Macro Security.
Had word create a new Normal.dot file.
installed extensibilityMSM.msi and lockbackRegKey.msi .net components.
and repaired word through the original install CD.
I looked in Tools >Templates and Add-Ins and it doesnt have the add-in loaded on it and it looks like it is trying to point to the wrong directory path of:
C:\Program Files\ACT\ACT for Win 7\WPMacros\Word\10\act7.dot
I dont even have this directory installed and it was a fresh install of Ver11 and goes to:
C:\Program Files\ACT\Act for Windows\WPMacros\Word\10\ACT.dot
I have even looked at the ACT.dot and it doesnt look any different from the normal.dot.
Anyone else have any suggestions?
I ended up talking to Tech support at ACT and they had me completely uninstall ACT and reinstall it and it fixed the problem. Just FYI for anyone else.
