ACT Update Error

Using Act v12.0.409.0, Hotfix 3 and is telling me that there is an update available however I don't have Administrator privileges.  I am logged in as the administrator regardless.  Using Windows 7, could that be the issue?

Re: ACT Update Error

Close ACT and then right click on the desktop icon and select "Run as Administrator" you should then be able to apply the update.

With Windows 7, make sure UAC is turned off during the install process. YOu will find this setting in your windows control panel under users.

Hello Frank,
This is most likely caused by User Account Control in Windows 7. First try closing ACT!, then reopen it by right-clicking on the program icon and selecting "Run as Adminstrator". If that does not resolve, then disable User Account Control through the User Accounts option in your Control Panel (will need to reboot).
