ACT Pro Version 17: My primary existing database will not open!!! Note... I'm able to open the ACT demo database... but when I try to open my primary database, which is listed in the menu, the program does not respond (not even an error message) -- please help!!!

Hi Jerry,
Is your primary database hosted on your machine, or on another machine and accessed over the network?
Please check your folder access permissions are correct in the database location.
Do you see any relevant error messages in Windows Event Viewer (Windows Logs > Application)?

If both databases are on your machine type ACTDIAG.EXE at the start button. Go to the database tab, in the database list highlight you database and see if it is ONLINE and UNLOCKED
