ACT! Pro V16 Remote Database Operations

I work in a small office with three V16 licenses running Act! Pro Version 16.3.11.0, Hot Fix 1 on Windows 7 Pro machines.  Two of the licenses work in the same office  in NY.  I want to set up a remote database for a new hire working in CA.  Is it possible to synchronize the CA remote database to the main database computer without having external network access?  I have exhausted the Help topics I can read.

Thanks for the help!

Yes it can be setup to sync the databases. They do need to be networked together. That can be done using a Virtual Private Network (VPN). This can be done by using a third party VPN provider like Hamachi. The VPN provider sets up a secure link between two or more computers via the internet.

A VPN would work, alternatively you could consider to upgrading to Act! Premium which supports database syncing over the internet directly.

Roy,

Thank you.  I was afraid it would require the computers being networked somehow.  I guess it is impossible to sync a remote database using a memory stick?
