ACT Pro V 20 Update question

I am currently running Act! Pro Version 20.0.159.0, Update 7.  Which update do I need to apply prior to year end to keep the program functioning?

for pro you have to update to 20.1 update 8 its the prmium version which has 20.0 update 8, unless swiftpage are going to release an update for pro v20.0, i'm sure they will comment if they are.....

EDIT

Looking at the KB article 39195 there may be an update for 20.0 on the 13th December

Re: ACT Pro V 20 Update question

I believe that Swiftpage will be releasing an update for 20.0 some time this week. It should appear in the usual place.

Unless you can update to SP1, then you can apply SP1, Update 8 now.

Re: ACT Pro V 20 Update question

Thank you for your reply.  The only option for service Pack 1 though is to update Version 20.1.  See below:

3/22/2018Act! Pro v20.1 Updateact!_pro_v20_sp1x120.exe574 MB

Since I am currently on 20.0.159 I don't know if that is the correct update to apply, or if that may damage my current ( working ) installation.

Thanks!

Re: ACT Pro V 20 Update question

SP1 means 20.1 and is the update for 20.0. You would need to apply that and then the latest 20.1 update (Update 8).

Check the notes on the update to ensure that the modifications in it are okay with you.

One of the big changes relates to the  Office integration piece, with Office 2010 no longer being supported.

Re: ACT Pro V 20 Update question

I just received a notification from act that an update was available. When I clicked on the notification (I am using Act V20 under Windows 10) The message popped up that I was not allowed to download the update as I have no administrator rights in Act although the user configuration says that my role is ..... administrator.

Next thing that happened was that all my custom commands and personal keyboard shortcuts were gone.

Could somebody explain??

Hi Leendert,

Right Click on the Act icon | Act! Premium and select 'Run as Administrator' - that should work then.

Re: ACT Pro V 20 Update question

Thanks for your response.  SP1 would be a no go as I am using Office 2010.

Will the update released on the 13th be compatible with Office 2010?
