ACT! Pro 2013 V.15.0.301.0
Windows 7 (no version listed in "System"?!?, but see below)
We just migrated from an old version of ACT! running on XP to ACT! Pro 2013 running on Windows 7. Everything seemed to go great at first, but I already have a mysterious problem I don't understand. When I try to open a template from: Write > Open Document (from template)... it runs through the "Mail Merge" dialog boxes and locks up cold and throws me out. This happens when I open our existing .ADT templates that we've been using for years, but it also happens when I try to open one of the stock/default templates that were installed yesterday with the rest of the program.
I immediately went to another of the four total seats we have, and even though they all point to the same folder on the network for the templates, mine is the only one that locks up. I did notice that the other machines are all running Word 2003 (I'm running Word 2007), which is the only real difference I can see between the working machines and mine. Doesn't matter if I make new templates or resave them from the other seats as .ADT files, mine craps out every single time I try a template.
Anybody have any suggestions? I suppose I could uninstall Office 2007 and install Office 2003, but that seems like a pretty ridiculous thing to have to do.

Sorry, I just noticed another post but it's a little different than my particular problem, and it's a different version and different OS. I don't want to modify my registry as suggested in the other thread until someone confirms it'll work.

all act users must be on same version of act and act2013 pro users should be on svcpk1 hotfix 4
manually download from this link http://www.act.com/support/downloads/sage-act-pro-2013/
Manually check for windows updates.
