ACT Pro 2011 Question regarding emailing to groups

Instead of using Write/Mail Merge functionality in ACT to eamil to a group of contacts, is there any way you can email to a group of contact names in ACT, starting from Outlook, so that all the names go into the bcc field and it looks as if that each email is going individually...

Re: ACT Pro 2011 Question regarding emailing to groups

Hello thisisforharold,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. Unfortunately, there is not a way to do this in ACT! and don't believe Outlook has that ability either. What is the reason for doing it this way? It sounds more cumbersome that using the mail merge function.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

You should be able to do what you describe by Selecting Group - then highlight the group name - then click on the large email icon on the top menus.  This should launch a new email message with all the email addresses in the TO section.  Right click in the TO section Select All then  select CUT.  Right click in BCC and click paste.  Enter your email (or whatever makes sense) in the TO section.  You can also use this method with companies to email everyone in a company.  An alternate method would be to go to contact list view and highlight all contacts that you wish to email and then click on the large email icon on the top menus.
