ACT Pro 2011 + Outlook Sync quit working last week

After being a user for several years without incident, the sync feature quit working last week. It seemed to coincide with a Windows Update downloading, but not sure its connected. I have tried resetting the sync panel and changing the preferences, but everything seems fine. It usually a pretty simple set up when Act and Outlook are being run on the same machine.

 

I thought about uninstalling and reloading software, but don't think I have the disk anymore.

 

I am running Windows 7, Outlook 2010 and Act Pro 2011.

 

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

When you say "the sync feature quit working", are you getting an error message of some sort?

When I "sync", the progress bar starts under ACT Sync Progress, the bar moves forward, and then it says "calander or contact sync failed".

 

I have tried it from the drop down menus in ACT and the Outlook sync add-ins. Both yeild the same results.

Some troubleshooting recommendations:

1.  If you are synchronizing both the Calendar and Contacts, disable one of them then launch a sync to confirm which is failing.

Both calander and contacts databases do not sync. I have run each one seperately. The progress bar seems to pull from ACT and then when it goes to grab Outlook it syas failed.

 

I do not see the drop down to view Sync History as you describe. Is it possible I have an older version of a sync integration tool and should download a more current tool or is it built into the software itself.

Generally, when I click on an email address inside ACT, it opens Outlook and I can send an email directly from there. Maybe it's connectd, but today when I clicked on an email address, I got the following error message:

Thanks for the suggestions. Nothing has worked. This morning I removed Act and reinstalled. I am begining to think there was some update to Outlook that is prohibiting it from syncing with outlook. Frustrating.
