ACT Pro 2010 not starting for specific user

I have a user that was using ACT Pro 2010, but one day it just stopped working.  It gets to the point where it says logon completed, but then the ACT window just disappears.  The icon for ACT is there in the task bar, but the ACT program never displays.  I can log on to the computer as a different user, and ACT works fine.  Any ideas?

If this is Windows user specific; another possibility is that the Sage ACT! screen is being displayed outside of the monitor's viewing area.  See this article: KB Article 23807. 

 

Here is a utility for repositioning application windows that has gotten some positive comments: Sheepdog - Off-screen Window Manager

Must be some kind of permissions issue or some kind of corruption that user's Windows profile?

 

What version of Windows?

 

What changes may have been made to the system prior to ACT! not working?  There would have been more to the story than it just being "one day"...

It's Windows 7 (64-bit).  I previously tried giving the user full permissions on all ACT folders, but no change.  The user had limited permissions to begin with, and things worked.  Not sure what he could have changed.

Are you using any addons?  Try removing them and see if that takes care of it...

Problem resolved!  KB Article 23807 had the fix under the heading "Sage ACT! Window Hidden".  Thanks for everyone's help.
