I have a client with many, many custom fields and 38 users who recently started using ACT Premium Mobile (v16). They want to change the default fields for ACT Mobile. The current list is:
They want to remove some of these fields and add other fields in by DEFAULT. I know that you can go into each device and alter the fields on a user by user basis, but they want to change the defaults universally. Since there is a list of default fields (see above) the list must exist somewhere in the system. If it is some XML file then we might be able to edit it and change the list. If it is hard coded into the software then maybe not. It would be very helpful to be able to change the defaults, especially for large implementations. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, changing the default contact view settings is not something that can be done on a global scale. These preferences are actually stored in your web browser's cookies. If you set this up for one user on one device, then go to another device and use the same user, you will have to reconfigure the settings for the new device as well.
