I INSTALLED V22 AND RESTORED A V18 DATABASE WITH THE LATEST UPDATE.
V22 .0.205.0 UPDATE 3
I run act as an administrator and i can backup the database.
Also i cannot send a vCard.

When i log into act normally I'm an administrator, so this doesn't allow me to send myself a vCard or backup?

I had to do a clean install of Windows 10 and could not verify my v18 account and serial number.
So i bought v22 and it is giving me problems.
I cannot send a vCard cannot backup the database.
The German guy, God bless his said that's dangerous.
That's nutz i back up Act almost everyday never had a problem in v18.
Love to be able to go back to v18 and dump v22 after spending $370 for it.

Have you tried modifying your backup location? I have the same version and have no problem backing up to alternative locations and to a USB stick.

I backup to two places:
The standard Act backup location and a second location in Dropbox.
If I'm an administrator i can backup in both locations.
If I log in normally I cannot backup to either location?!

When I downloaded and installed v22 I restored my most recent v18 database.
Don't know if there is an issue with that restore. It seemed to restore normally.

I log in clicking the Act icon on the task bar for normal login.
Or I right click the icon in the start screen and click "run as administrator" to run it that way. If I do i can run backups to two locations that i use.
